We provide a full range of specialist joinery services from design through to manufacturing and installation. We can design and supply everything from feature staircases, VIP bars, receptions and bespoke screens to high-end leisure and spa joinery. Design
We work closely with architects and interior designers to achieve the client's design intent. We are able to interpret conceptual ideas, providing advice on the appropriate selection of materials and we design with production and installation in mind.
Whatever the design vision, we can support our clients to find the right joinery solution, whether this is about achieving a rich and luscious feel or about providing a functional and pared-back minimalist effect.
Our innovative approach has produced some outstanding results for our clients – for example, the timber-clad VIP bar at One Blackfriars which we were able to finish with a textured metal, the pyramid feature wall panelling at Battersea Power Station, and more.
Our production facility in Ashford, Kent contains over 55,000 sq ft of space and combines modern day digital manufacturing methods with traditional craft techniques. It houses both the latest digital manufacturing technology as well as traditional joinery machines. We specialise in volume cutting, CNC routing, machining and edging of panel products, principally chipboard, MDF, OSB, hardboard and plywood. We also have a state-of-the-art spray shop with drying area and are now one of the UK’s leading independent specialist wood-based panel processors.
Specialised design software connects design information with computerised saws and other automated machines to optimise production and our ability to view 3D models in solidworks enhances our design for manufacturing capability.
We can produce a vast array of finishes, from raw through to oiled, stained, painted and lacquered finishes. We also provide a range of fire retardant finishes.

Installation
Houston Cox provides first and second fix interior carpentry and joinery installation services. This often involves working in close collaboration with a range of trade contractors to achieve complex designs, often incorporating a wide range of materials from marble to corian, mirrors and metal inlays, integrated and concealed lighting systems, as well as state-of-the-art automated door mechanisms.
An innovative collaboration involved working with a moss wall specialist to develop a bespoke frame design for a large feature green wall for One The Elephant.
Along with our joinery manufacturing unit, we can deliver to individual customer requirements and are able to produce and supply almost any joinery design and finish specified.
