Stephenson Street has been rebranded as TwelveTrees Park for the new Berkeley Homes development situated in West Ham.
It will deliver almost 4,000 homes along with retail, work and community facilities and 12 acres of green space. The transformation of the industrial site into a neighbourhood is one of the city’s truly modern regeneration schemes.
Our piling services for this £220k project involved 40 permanent bearing piles to support the abutment and foundation of a new link bridge into the existing TfL West Ham Station.

Pile Installation
02
Measuring 600 mm in diameter, the piles were installed using continuous flight auger techniques to lengths ranging from 15.5 to 28 m, with the deeper piles founding in the Thanet Sand. Reinforcement cages were up to 16 m long, delivered and installed in a single length.
Our piling subsidiary GSS mobilised its Soilmec SR-95 piling rig, completing all piles in a single site visit on time and on budget.
TfL Collaboration
03
The piling works required careful planning and liaison between GSS, Sisk and TfL. Piles were installed within 8 m of the live Jubilee Line – a surface rail asset in this location. We presented the proposed working methodology, the likely hazards and proposed control measures to the project team along with representatives from TfL’s engineering team. All piles were installed without incident.
