The Mercian

Located on the former site of renowned nightclub The Click Club at Burberries, The Mercian is Birmingham’s tallest residential tower. The £183 million project underpins the regeneration around Broad Street and the wider area, providing extensive residential, communal, retail and leisure space.

The structure incorporates a three-storey podium offering over 3,000 sq m of retail and leisure space, a further 2,700 sq m of communal space and first floor car parking. It provides 481 apartments over 42 storeys with a 14-storey shoulder block.  There’s even a 200 m rooftop running track – one of the first in the UK’s housing market.

We worked on The Mercian from 2019 until 2021, utilising our in-house high rise and post tensioning (PT) design and installation expertise.
