Designed by award-winning architects Squire & Partners, One The Elephant is a stunning development of 254 apartments, featuring a slender tower and four-storey pavilion. Created to achieve the Code Standards of Sustainable Homes Level 4, it is one of the first of its kind.
We were commissioned by Lendlease to undertake the reinforced concrete basement substructure and reinforced concrete superstructures for a 37-storey tower and pavilion buildings.

Structures

We built the central reinforced concrete stair and lift core using slipform technology. Floor slabs were constructed in two parts and enabled us to achieve a six-day cycle time for each 700 m² floor slab.

State-of-the-art construction technology and practice was used to ensure safe and on time delivery. This included hydraulic protection screens, panel formwork systems to eliminate the risk associated with working at height, and lightweight column formwork to reduce risks associated with manual handling.
