The Nile Street project in the centre of Shoreditch was part of a wider Hackney schools building programme and formed part of a wider £110 m regeneration of the area.
This innovative development created almost 200 homes along with a youth centre, communal gardens and the aforementioned school. We were involved in both substructure and superstructure works.

Post tensioned slabs incorporated into the reinforced concrete core were designed in-house and constructed by our specialist post tensioning team.

Substructure works involved bulk excavation and the construction of a raft basement slab. The superstructure package consisted of a two-storey school, an eight-storey residential block and a 29-storey residential tower over a two-storey podium.
